Description
The Qasba was built in 1471 AD / 876 AH during the reign of Emir Ali Ben Rached and covers an area of 3477 m². Originally built as a military stronghold, it also served as the lordly residence of Ali ben Rached, known as Dar Al Imara. The Qasba is protected by a mudbrick wall with thirteen towers and includes, in addition to the lordly residence, a small mosque, a large Andalusian garden of 2300 m², a prison, a stable, and an animal enclosure.
