Description
The Perdicaris Palace, built by the Greek American Ion Perdicaris in 1878, is located 6 km from the centre of the city of Tangier, in the midst of the Rmilat Forest. The architecture of the building, erected on a hill overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar, combines Anglo-Saxon Queen Anne style with classical and medieval architectural elements.
Inaugurated in April 2022, the palace now houses a Heritage Interpretation Center, showcasing the history of Ion Perdicaris and the biodiversity of the region.
